The EGL-47 is the first, true, under gun mounted, paint grenade launcher. No alternate power supply is required. Its CO2 power source is supplied by the host gun. The entire barrel assembly is constructed of aluminum with a steel expansion/holding chamber, solid brass quick releasing firing valve, pressure relief valve and regulator. The EGL-47 unite comes complete, ready to install with all required lines and fittings.
We have found that grenade type ammunition is expansive to manufacture, and as a consequence grenade type ordnance delivery systems are expensive to operate. So, the EGL-47 was specifically designed to accept multiple types of ammunition “including:” home made rounds. The concept is very simple…..show in the large image: A cardboard cylinder, slit down both sides acts as the shell casing which contains the projectile (liquid filled balloons, multiple ball, small rodents...etc) The second cardboard retaining cylinder is fitted over the shell casing to prevent opening. When the round is inserted into the cannon barrel the retainer is stripped off, and the round is ready to be fired. When fired the round exit’s the muzzle and the shell casing opens instantly falling harmlessly to the ground while the projectile continues on to its appointed destination with the devastating effects.
